This book is not a cookbook but the story of Vasco & Piero’s Pavilion restaurant, in the context of the last 50 years in terms of the changes in Soho and the changes to the food industry. It is a pocket size coffee table book to browse through.
This book was meant to be just like an internal memo, but as we are now closed, we thought we would offer it to our clients.
Covid-19 has had a devastating effect on the world over the past few weeks. Our thoughts are undoubtedly with those people whose health has been adversely affected, and those fighting in the front-line to keep people alive. It is also necessary to consider the impact that this crisis is having on people’s livelihoods that has blindsided the hospitality industry.
As you are aware, all restaurants and pubs were shut on 20th March 2020. It could be for three months and then another three months to get back to normal, if some form of social distancing is in place.
We are doing all we can to support each other and our staff (emotionally and financially), but as a small business these are challenging times for our restaurant.
As many of you are aware, some of our team have been with us for over twenties years and the ones that have left, have always recommend their friends back in Italy, to come and work for us.
On a good note, it means we have a lot more time on our hands to finish our history book.
